The LASR LAIR

The LASR LAIR and Body Laser Studio are two laser studios that run under one concept. The Frankfort studio, at 24 Elwood Street, offers the widest range of services, including Pico laser facials, sunspot treatment, tattoo removal and microblading removal. The Chicago studio, Body Laser Studio at 900 N. Franklin Street, Suite 407, offers laser hair removal. Both studios share one phone number.

Pico laser facials at the Frankfort studio take about 20 to 30 minutes. The studio recommends a series of three to six treatments spaced three to four weeks apart, and it uses the Cartessa Pico laser for concerns such as sun damage, acne scars and fine lines. Sunspot treatment is also performed with the Pico laser.

Tattoo removal is available at the Frankfort studio and requires a consultation before any treatment. Sessions are spaced six to eight weeks apart, and most clients need more than a year for complete removal. The studio notes that the treatment can be uncomfortable and that numbing creams can help. Clients must stay out of the sun for the full course of sessions.

Laser hair removal sessions are typically four to eight weeks apart, depending on the body area. Permanent hair reduction usually takes six to ten treatments, or eight to twelve in hormonal areas, followed by touch-ups once or twice a year. Clients are asked to shave the treated area the day before or the morning of an appointment. The studio does not treat pregnant clients with this service, and clients with red, grey or blonde hair should consult a technician first, since the laser is less effective on lighter hair. Downtime is typically none, and slight redness fades within 15 to 30 minutes for a few clients.

Clients must be at least 13 years old, with a parent present and giving permission. Tattoo removal, microblading removal and laser facials start at $150, and final pricing varies with the size of the area treated.
