Procedures take place at the center under local anesthesia, with an oral sedative taken beforehand rather than IV sedation or general anesthesia, and the center says this shortens average recovery. Minor procedures typically allow a return to work in two to three days, while more in-depth procedures usually take five to ten days. The TLC Lift is the center's best-known procedure, a customized lower facelift and neck lift that includes the SMAS layer and platysma muscle. It addresses sagging jowls, under-chin fullness, loose skin of the neck and lower face, and neck muscle banding when needed. It is most often sought by patients in their 50s and generally takes under two hours, with five to ten days of downtime. The TLC Mini Lift is aimed at falling cheek structure, mild jowls and early lax neck skin and is often considered in the early to mid-40s. The men's TLC Men male facelift follows a similar custom lower facelift and neck lift, with chin augmentation often added for more definition; recovery is usually seven to fourteen days depending on the facelift portion. Those patients start with a virtual consultation with Dr. Paul Lanfranchi and usually meet in person at the center the day before surgery. Because the center advises at least two visits during the first week of recovery, out-of-town patients should expect to remain in Las Vegas for about a week.
