The LaCore Experience

The LaCore Experience describes itself as a premium hair and waxing business in Chicago. Its offerings center on hair extensions, styles and wigs, with classes that teach clients how to handle their own hair and wigs at home.

Clients can book styled services that include shampoo, treatment and style. Hair included styles are offered in colors 1 and 1b only, and the LaCore Black Collection covers quickweave and ponytail installs.

Classes are a major part of the offering. Shorter client sessions cover pinning curls and baby hair at night, and Ask LaCore is a 30 to 60 minute session for questions about hair. One-on-one sessions include ponytails, a quickweave bob and a butterfly braid, and wig lessons cover how to wear and apply a wig.

The business also builds wigs in-house, including machine-made U-part wigs and ponytails, closure wigs and frontal wigs sewn by machine. Frontals, closures and wigs need to be dropped off 48 hours ahead, and same-day service is available for an extra fee.

Appointments arriving 30 or more minutes late may be voided or canceled, and changing a hairstyle without 24 hours notice cancels the appointment. Extra people and children are not allowed unless they are being serviced. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000.
