According to the salon, its aim is to bring scientific innovation and historic knowledge together.

The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM, and is closed Sunday and Monday. Stylists are placed in levels based on demand, time, skill, experience and education. Clients can choose any level and can book services with more than one stylist, and higher levels carry a small price increase. Each stylist's pricing is listed in their bio, and services may change based on length, density and the difficulty of the result, so clients should mention extra length, density or texture when booking. The salon serves clients from age 4 to 84.

Signature work includes underlights, a fashion color technique Ruby Devine created. It sits in the interior of the hair, can be concealed or converted, and includes a single-step bleach on that section after a consultation. Fashion color is applied to pre-lightened hair and does not cover corrective color, silver, grey or pastels. Full bleach outs are offered by short, medium or long hair. Haircuts are described as gender-neutral and include a blow-dry finish. The signature cut experience adds a personalized cut, deep-cleansing shampoo, extended scalp massage, a custom mask or treatment, and a blow-dry with a curling or flat iron finish; silk presses and roller sets are not included.

Services are a la carte, and chemical and conditioning services do not include a blowout or styled finish. Keratin treatments, including an express version, are offered, and the salon describes its keratin treatment as reducing frizz, with results that vary with hair type and home care.

A 48-hour notice is needed to cancel, reschedule or change an appointment. Late changes and no-shows are charged half the starting price of the appointment, and no-show clients cannot book in the future. Services are non-refundable, though concerns about the final look can be raised within 14 days for review. Companions and children who are not receiving a service are not allowed in the studio, and guests without an appointment may wait outside or be rescheduled with a late cancel charge. Maintenance services are for current clients only. Gift certificates and an Amazon storefront are available.

The salon aims for a shared process in which clients and artists work together, learn from each other and experiment toward a unique look.
