The Hair XP

Louis and combines a hair salon with a scalp studio. Its work centers on textured hair, from kinks and coils to curls, with natural styling and protective installs at the core.

Protective installs are a specialty, including traditional sew-ins, flip-over installs, and 2x6 lace closures. Natural styles include Bantu knots, flat twists, two-strand twists, and silk presses. Bantu knots are set to either stretch the hair or form a defined curl when unraveled, and they are offered for natural hair only, with eight inches or more suggested.

Sacred Scalp XP is the salon's longest service, a personalized head spa and hair wellness session of about four and a half hours. It opens with a magnified assessment of the scalp and hair using a professional hair scope, and ends with a personalized thirty-day hair-care routine and an aftercare package. The salon notes that several visits may be needed before changes are noticeable, and that frequency depends on each client's hair and scalp.

Demi-permanent gloss, toner, and rinse can refresh a shade, refine tone, deepen color, or help blend or cover gray, using select Redken Shades EQ services. It is not a lightening, highlighting, or full color-correction service, and results and gray coverage vary, so a consultation is required first. Bobs, short bobs, and layered cuts are done with professional shears; clipper cuts and pixie cuts are not currently offered. Signature Services cover routine preparation only, so extensive takedowns and detangling must be booked as an enhancement or arranged with The Hair Suite beforehand. Online product orders ship within 48 hours after confirmation, and sold products cannot be returned or exchanged.

Every service is meant to be done gently and with care, with the hair and scalp never pushed or forced into a result.
