The Hair Mansion

The Hair Mansion is a private studio where every appointment is reserved for one guest at a time. It sits inside the Sola Salons building at 56 General Way, five doors down on the left, with free parking out front and full wheelchair access. The studio serves guests from Reading, North Reading, Andover, Wakefield, Wilmington, Lynnfield, Tewksbury and the wider North Shore.

Visits are organized around the work. New guests choose one of two first-visit experiences: a 90-minute Hair Design appointment, or Color + Finish, which reserves up to three and a half hours and includes Hair Design when a cut is needed. Returning guests can book Hair Design (60 minutes), Refined Color + Finish (2 hours) or Dimensional Refresh + Finish (2.5 hours). Existing guests can also add a 15-minute Fringe Maintenance visit, which is offered only to them.

Prices are set per service and listed on the site: new guest Hair Design is $182, Color + Finish starts at $317, returning Hair Design is $143, Refined Color + Finish is $267 and Dimensional Refresh + Finish is $358. Guests are charged only for services performed, not for reserved time. The studio says it operates as a no-gratuity salon.

Hours are Wednesday 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM, Thursday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on alternate Saturdays; the studio is closed Sunday through Tuesday. Guests can reach it by phone, by email or through live chat on the website, and the studio says messages go directly to the owner with replies within one to two business days. Gift cards are sold for the studio, and a monthly publication called Studio Notes is available through a sign-up.
