Lora Jean opened The District Salon in 2014. She started in the industry as a receptionist and moved up to ownership over the years. The salon describes itself as Dana Point's elevated hair experience and aims to build a space around creativity, connection, and confidence.

The space was purpose-built with modern design and coastal accents, and it blends a polished feel with a relaxed one. A local artist is featured each month with rotating artwork on the walls.

Haircuts are offered for women and men. Color services include base and ends, balayage, highlights, root color, bleach with toner, and color correction. A la carte services cover blow dries, conditioning treatments, and extensions. Texture services include perms and permanent straightening treatments.

The salon welcomes locals and visitors to the coast. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm, and it is closed Sunday and Monday. Gift cards are sold in the salon or by contacting the salon.
