The salon describes its approach as zero impact and says it cares for the environment as well as the health and safety of guests and the team. Hair color and chemical waste are disposed of properly, and materials such as hair color foils, aerosol cans, color tubes and styrofoam are recycled. Non-recyclable single-use items go to waste-to-energy programs, food and plant waste is composted, and hair clippings are reused in products or cleanup. The salon also uses water displacement devices in its bathrooms, energy efficient appliances and lighting, and low or no VOC paint. It partners only with haircare companies that have strong environmental missions and offsets its remaining carbon footprint each year through TerraPass carbon neutralizing programs.

Clients can book online. New clients can ask the front desk to recommend a stylist and help set up a first appointment. Many services are timed for average hair length and density, with extra time added in 15 minute steps for longer or denser hair, and an Image Analysis consultation of about 20 minutes plans future appointment time and cost; its price is subtracted from the final service. First time guests seeking perms or Japanese thermal reconditioning need an in person consultation first.

Policies to know: late cancellations are charged 50% of the scheduled total and no shows are charged 100%. Cancellation notice is 24 hours for haircut only appointments, 48 hours for color and 72 hours for appointments of 4 hours or longer. Guests more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule. Services are not refunded, but a complimentary redo is offered if a client is not happy with their hair. Unopened products and tools bought at the salon can be exchanged or refunded. Pets are not allowed, except a pet may come in if it stays in the guest's lap.
