The Butterfly Room

The Butterfly Room is a small studio in Williamsburg that operates from a home space rather than a commercial salon. Ariana Ovalles owns the business and works as its esthetician. Clients receive the apartment number directly from the studio.

Services cover Brazilian and full body waxing, brow services, intimate bleaching with a nano needle, intimate brightening peels and custom vajacials. The studio also sells organic feminine care products, such as yoni oil, yoni gel, brightening oil and brightening body wash, plus bundles of these items.

Appointments are booked in advance through the online system or by calling the studio. A confirmation email and text follow each booking, and the address is emailed 24 hours before the visit. Clients are asked to arrive at least five minutes early for paperwork, to come freshly showered, and to avoid lotions or oils on the treatment area; exfoliating the night before is advised. Arriving more than ten minutes late may shorten or reschedule the appointment.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours notice. Later cancellations require a new deposit for a new booking, and no-shows are charged the full service cost and blocked from booking again. Refunds are not offered for services, so any dissatisfaction should be reported within 24 hours. Organic feminine care product sales are final, though damaged or defective items can be replaced if reported within seven days of purchase. A patch test is recommended before trying any new product.

The studio is open Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 8pm and Saturday from 11am to 4pm, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The studio uses organic products and gives each client personalized, attentive care, and it says it follows strict sanitization protocols.
