The Bendiii Effect

The business was officially founded in 2023 according to its About page. Its home page announces a rebrand to TheBendiiiEffect and says the idea behind it started about two years before that. The studio now works from a new suite, and its home page hashtags point to Union, Irvington and East Orange, NJ.

Services are grouped into installs, ponytails, quickweaves and freestyle. Quick weaves are offered with a protective style and a natural finish, including side part and middle part versions with layers and curls. Frontal installs have blended edges and no lifting. Ponytails are sleek and long-lasting, including two-ponytail styles, and half up, half down styles and quickweave updos are also available. Freestyle work includes event styles, and an old wig can be restyled into a new look.

Appointments need planning. Clients book with a $30 non-refundable fee charged at booking and pay the balance at the end of the visit, by card, cash, Zelle or Cash App. Hair must be washed and fully blow dried without oils, leave-in conditioner or edge control, and wash and blow dry can be added at booking. Hair is dropped off between 10 am and 6 pm, no later than two days before the appointment, labeled with the booking name and number. Additional guests are not permitted, and small children and newborns are not recommended in the salon because of the chemicals used. The studio recommends higher-quality hair vendors for the best outcome, and notes that budget options from online marketplaces are available.

The studio is also planning an upcoming e-book and masterclass courses for aspiring stylists.

The studio emphasizes protective styles and natural-looking finishes, and asks clients to prepare their hair in advance.
