Bridal hair and makeup is a major part of the work. Services include bridal hair and makeup, makeup application, trials and consultations, bridal party updos and false lash application, flower girl styling for children under 10, engagement shoot hair and makeup on request, and clip-in extensions for bridal hair. Weddings are served across Massachusetts and in Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Traveling weddings need at least four people per service.
Booking works differently for weddings. The process starts with a phone call and a contract, and no date is held until the signed contract and deposit are received. One hair or makeup consultation or trial is included in the wedding contract, with extra consultations charged separately. Final headcount is due 30 days before the wedding. Gratuity is not included in wedding rates, but parties of five or more add 18% for each artist. Travel fees vary by mileage and location.
Regular appointments are often booked four to six weeks ahead, and weekend and evening times fill quickly. Listed prices are base salon prices and may change, so clients are asked to confirm estimates with the salon or their stylist. Services with master stylists can cost more, and color prices exclude extras such as haircuts, glosses and toners. Clients must give 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations, late arrivals more than 15 minutes past the appointment time, and no-shows may be charged 50% of the booked services to the card on file.
