The Barn was co-founded in 2018 by Lindsey Holcomb, Denice Holcomb and Ranee Ralston. It sits inside a restored barn on Ohio 303 and houses several independent providers.

Visits begin with a complimentary beverage on arrival. The space has a snack bar, TV and WiFi, and free parking directly in front of the salon. Guests are asked to use the two business driveways and The Barn's designated spots, not the barber shop's spots. Spa services are listed by general type, so guests pick a service first and then choose a provider.

Returning guests can book online through a Book Now page powered by Vagaro. New guests cannot book online; they text or fill out the new guest form to be matched with a provider. New guests seeking color services need a complimentary color consultation first, and a deposit may be required to secure an appointment. Providers can be reached by text, typically within 24 hours, and changes should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made later than that may incur a fee of up to the full appointment cost.

Payment is accepted by American Express, cash, check, debit card, Discover, Visa and MasterCard. Gift certificates can be bought online for occasions including birthdays, congratulations, fall, Halloween and holidays. Hours run Monday through Saturday, with Sunday closed. Massage is performed by therapists licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. English is the listed spoken language.
