Cherie Morales started cutting hair in 2014, after moving to the Pacific Northwest. Every appointment begins with a consultation about the cut, shaped around the client's natural features and daily routine. Cuts are made with a razor rather than shears, which creates texture and movement and keeps the hair looking lived-in rather than rigid. A visit includes a wash, styling tips and product recommendations before the client leaves.

Clients can choose a standard wash or a candlelit wash with meditation music, which adds a scalp scrub, oil, detox mask, deep conditioner and a longer scalp massage. Those who prefer a quiet appointment can request a silent appointment, which adds a short block of time with no small talk after the opening consultation. The menu is gender-neutral and the studio welcomes people of all gender identities.

Tipping is not expected because prices are set intentionally. Contact is primarily by text, with a typical reply within one to two days, and the salon can be reached Monday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm, excluding Wednesdays and Fridays. Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of an appointment carry a fee of 50% of the total scheduled services, and this applies in all situations, including illness. Gift cards come in set amounts or custom amounts and are final once sold.

Cuts are shaped around each client's natural features and lifestyle, using a razor to build texture and movement rather than shears.

Clients can choose a candlelit wash with meditation music or a standard wash with the lights on.
