Waxing is done with soft wax rather than hard wax, which the studio says makes sessions quicker and easier on the skin. Implements are soaked, washed and sanitized, then sterilized in a box under 254 nm UV light, and disposable table paper is used for every client. The studio says its bikini waxers are fully licensed and that its sanitation practices exceed the highest industry standards.
Brazilian waxing is offered as a unisex service covering the crotch, labia, penis, testicles and bum crack, and costs $65. A first-time Brazilian special is $45 for new clients only, and a Brazilian with full bum cheeks, the Manzilian, is $85. The bikini wax is a more conservative option that waxes one finger width inside the underwear line, includes the hairline below the navel, and leaves the labia untouched; it starts at $55 and the final price depends on how much hair is removed. Body waxing covers areas such as underarms, chest, stomach, back, shoulders, lower legs and the bum, with combinations and add-ons for earfro and underarms at $15 each. Full legs, full arms and brows are not waxed here.
Men's services include back and shoulder waxing, chest and stomach waxing, manscaping, which is precision grooming for the chest, back and intimate areas, and The Manzilian, a male Brazilian that removes hair from the penis, testicles, crotch, bum cheeks and crack. Sessions run about 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area.
The studio is open seven days a week by appointment only: Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Wednesday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clients book online or text (408) 805-4929 for same-day appointments. A non-refundable deposit is applied toward the service, changes need 24 hours' notice, and arrivals more than 5 minutes late forfeit deposits or prepayments. Clients must be at least 18, tipping is not accepted, and tables hold up to 300 pounds. Clients may request a specific esthetician, though special offers cannot be booked with one. After waxing, the studio advises avoiding sweat, exercise, hot tubs and dirt or oil on the skin for 24 hours, and sells its own aftercare, including a 50 Grit exfoliating towel and the Agent 88 anti-ingrown spray that Jane and Pai formulated.
