Tashi's Hair Studio Phenix Salon Suites

Tashi's Hair Studio serves clients from two Diamond Bar locations, one on North Diamond Bar Boulevard and one on South Diamond Bar Boulevard. The menu covers hair care, color, cuts, styling, extensions, trichology and cranial hair prosthetics. Owner and head stylist Tashi L. Carr leads the studio.

Curly hair is a particular focus. The studio cuts curly hair specifically, offers one-on-one curly hair education sessions with the stylist, and provides customized curly hair treatments. Relaxer services include retouches for hair with about 1 inch of new growth and virgin relaxers for hair that has never been chemically treated or has more than 2 inches of new growth. The studio also offers the Zerran Reform 2.0 vegan smoothing and retexturing system, along with dreadlock maintenance, silk presses and twist styles for natural hair.

Trichology services address hair loss and scalp concerns. Scalp scoping uses magnified images of the scalp for analysis, and scalp dermabrasion exfoliates the scalp to remove buildup. The low level light hair treatment is sold as a set of 3 sessions for $100 and is recommended three times a week for 12 weeks. Custom-made cranial hair prosthetics are offered for people with hair loss from medical causes. A $100 consultation comes first, the final price is set at that consultation, and a 50% deposit is required for prosthetic appointments. Insurance coverage is checked during the consultation, and clients who are not already CareCredit users can request an application. The studio states that it is HIPAA compliant.

Booking details: a free 15-minute consultation is offered before booking, and consultations longer than 15 minutes are charged $50. Payment is by Zelle or Venmo, as credit cards are not accepted. Appointments more than 15 minutes late without notice may be cancelled with a $25 fee, and clients can call or text (951) 232-4429 to say they are running late. Appointments outside business hours may carry a $50 convenience fee at the stylist's discretion. The studio also hosts charity events supporting victims of domestic violence.
