Tai-Lo is based in Suite 112 at Ruby's Salon Suites on Floyd Road Southwest in Mableton. The business was founded by owner Lola Gbenjo and centers on crochet braids, with protective styling, natural hair care and makeup services alongside. Listed hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 7pm.

About

New clients start with a Zoom consultation, which must be booked before any appointment. The consultation carries a $20 fee that is non-refundable but goes toward the first booking as a deposit. Every crochet style is customized and installed individually. The studio uses its own Tai-Lo Hair, which is supplied by the owner and is reserved for clients rather than sold. Clients may also bring their own hair, but it has to be sent as a photo before booking, and the exact hair must be the hair that arrives. All styles need at least 4 inches of hair. Because crochet styles are full, the more add-ons chosen, the fuller the result.

The Signature Straight Crochet Braids are the longest lasting of the styles, lasting up to 12 weeks with proper care, but they are high maintenance and are not recommended for first-time crochet clients. The Makeda Curls and Cleopatra Waves styles last up to 8 weeks. Maintenance is reviewed at each appointment, and clients get access to maintenance videos.

Deposits are non-refundable. Reschedules and other changes need at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations inside 48 hours are charged 30% of the service, and a no-show is charged 50%. A 15-minute grace period applies to late arrivals only if the client calls ahead; arriving more than 20 minutes late without a call or text cancels the appointment. Shampoo is not included in services and can be added at booking. The balance is due at the end of the visit and can be paid by Zelle (preferred), cash, Venmo, or credit or debit card, with a 4% fee on card payments. The booking calendar opens on the 27th of each month at 10pm for the following month, and there is no waiting list, though cancelled slots return to the calendar.

Each crochet style is customized and installed individually, with a Zoom consultation required before a client's first appointment.
