Every visit begins with a consultation to learn the client's goals, preferences and hair history. A complimentary consultation is recommended before extensions, color correction, major color changes, event styling and custom work. Event styling and updos are priced only after a consultation, and color correction pricing depends on the current color, hair condition, the desired result and whether more than one session is needed.
Extensions are a major focus. The salon offers Great Lengths methods including Cold Fusion, tape-in, thermal bonding and hand-tied weft, along with Weft Linea, a method introduced at the salon. Each installation is customized, color matched and blended to the client's natural hair, and the choice between tape-in and bonded extensions is made during the consultation. Great Lengths services start at $800, and the site gives a typical range of $800 to $2,500 depending on the client's needs. Extension move-ups are priced per row, starting at $225.
The salon says its staff are certified and trained through Great Lengths and that it carries every Great Lengths color and length in stock. Staff also take in-house training and continuing education as new techniques and products come out.
For payment, Tabu Salon accepts Cherry financing, a point-of-sale option that spreads a cost into equal monthly payments. Cherry has no hard credit check, offers a 0% promotional APR subject to approval, and lists a regular APR of 9.99% to 35.99%. Clients must be at least 18, hold a valid U.S. state driver's license and have a bank-issued debit card, and a down payment may be required.
