Symplee Smoothe is a small waxing studio in Pearland that welcomes women and men. Visits are by appointment only, and the booking calendar runs Monday from 12 to 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM and Sunday from 1 to 5 PM.

Every service uses Berodin Wax, a French depilatory wax. Each visit starts with the skin cleansed and a soothing oil applied as a barrier between the skin and the wax, and the skin is conditioned once the wax is removed. Each service is adjusted to the individual client.

The studio says it takes hygiene and sanitation seriously. Beyond the appointment, staff give clients guidance on keeping skin healthy to help limit ingrowns, bumps and irritation. The salon describes its waxing experience as redefined and says it puts clients first.

Before booking, clients should know a few pre-service rules. Waxing cannot be done while someone is taking Accutane, and anyone who has taken it must have stopped at least three months earlier. Clients using Retin A, prescription retinoids or vitamin A products are asked to stop at least five days before. Caffeine is discouraged before a wax, and waxing is avoided the week before a period. Waxing is not performed over varicose veins. After a session, clients are advised to skip steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs and bubble baths for 24 to 48 hours and to wait 24 hours before using self tanners.

New clients pay a $25 deposit when scheduling. The studio has a no double dipping policy for wax, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.
