Applicants must be 17 or older and hold a state ID or driver's license. A high school diploma is not required, and no Social Security number is needed for applicants who do not have one. No prior cosmetology experience is needed. Enrollment must be completed at least one week before a start date, and kits are added at enrollment. Enrollment fees are non-refundable. Flexible payment plans run until the balance is paid in full, and financial assistance and possibly grants are available.
Program lengths and enrollment fees vary. The barbering Class A license course is 1,000 hours over about 56 weeks, with a $600 cash enrollment fee. The esthetician license course is 750 hours over about 48 weeks, with a $600 cash fee. The manicurist license course is 600 hours over about 32 weeks, with a $550 cash fee. The hair extension and styling license course is 300 hours over about 20 weeks, with a $500 cash fee. Dual courses are offered in manicurist and eyelash specialty (600 hours, $650), manicurist and esthetician (800 hours, $600), and eyelash and esthetician (750 hours, $650 cash). A two-day professional microblading and shading course is priced at $1,000.
Eyelash students learn classic, hybrid and volume techniques. Esthetician students practice hands-on skills across the full esthetician scope. Hair extension students learn eight extension techniques, including styling. Manicurist students learn acrylic nails, manicures and pedicures. Students must pass state board exams to become licensed. The school states that over 90% of its students pass state board exams on the first attempt, and it runs a YouTube channel that reviews state board practical exams.
The school has submitted an application seeking candidate status for accreditation from the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. Brow, lash, makeup, nail, skin and waxing services are offered at posted prices, with students performing some of them and a professional performing the rest. Monthly club memberships provide a set number of services each month for a fixed fee.
The school's approach centers on hands-on training and preparing students to pass state licensing exams.
