About

Whole body cryotherapy takes place in an open-top cryosauna. Sessions last about 2.5 to 3 minutes, starting at roughly -180 to -200 degrees Fahrenheit, which the business says is 20 to 40 degrees colder than other centers. A certified cryotechnician, certified by the equipment manufacturer, stays with the client for the whole session. Complimentary alkaline water or hot tea is offered before or after. Robes, socks and gloves are cleaned after every use and never shared. A first whole body visit is $60 cash or $65 by card.

Local and spot cryotherapy uses a device that isolates the treated area and is commonly applied to feet, ankles, knees, shoulders, neck, back and hands. Sessions normally run 8 to 10 minutes. Athletes with injuries and people with sprains, muscle pulls, overuse injuries or recovery from surgery are among those who use it. It is often combined with whole body cryotherapy in the same visit, which the business calls an inside-out session.

Facial and body options include the Surf City Chill Facial, a non-invasive facial of about 10 to 12 minutes that can be done without removing makeup, and the 4-Minute Facelift, also called Coolifting. Body services include Cryo-Slimming/Toning, also called fat freezing, Body Contour Light, which uses full-body LED red light, and EMSculpt, which the site describes as non-invasive. CareCredit financing is accepted for 10-packs or larger, fat freezing, coolifting and EMSculpt.

Recovery and wellness options include infrared sauna, halotherapy (salt therapy), red light therapy, BEMER PEMF therapy, NanoVi and Normatec compression. Companies can buy packs of sessions for employees and receive monthly usage reports. Clients must be at least 14 years old for whole body cryotherapy, and ages 14 to 18 need parental consent. HSA and FSA payments are accepted.

Sessions are run at a set temperature range with a certified cryotechnician present throughout, and the space and linens are cleaned with plant-based and non-toxic products.
