Founded by hair artist Kylie Lefkowitz, the studio centers on textured hair and braid artistry, with an emphasis on protective styles that still feel creative. Services range from everyday braids and twists to cuts shaped for every curl pattern, and to styling made for cameras and stages.

Extensions are made with eco-friendly braiding hair from ReBundle or New Village Braid. Color is also done with non-toxic products, fitting the studio's broader interest in holistic, gentler haircare.

The studio also hosts The Art of Braiding: Texture & Tension, a one-day, in-person continuing education workshop for licensed stylists and beauty professionals in New York City. Capped at 10 students per class, it runs from a 10:00 AM start to a wrap-up around 6:00 PM and covers texture theory, feed-in techniques, live demonstrations, mannequin practice and individualized coaching. Tuition is $497 per stylist and includes class materials, a mannequin head, professional supplies and lunch.
