Sunrise Skin & Wellness was established in 2023 at 9079 4th St. N. in St. Petersburg and is founded by Dr. Patricia Delgado, a nurse practitioner. The practice says its approach goes beyond conventional skincare, and it describes its work as holistic, focused on preventing disease, and aligned with traditional medicine.
Medical skin visits address concerns such as acne, including Accutane monitoring, rashes, sores, eczema, hair loss, psoriasis, vitiligo, itchy scalp, seborrheic keratoses and nail disease. The practice also treats primary care skin conditions, including cancerous lesions that may appear on the skin. Telehealth skin visits are offered at the same prices as in-person visits, with electronic prescriptions when a medication is needed, and appointments can be booked from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays.
For cosmetic goals, the practice offers in-office microneedling with the SkinPen device on the face and neck, Morpheus8 radiofrequency treatments that combine microneedling with radiofrequency energy, VI Peel, and Botox or Daxxify. These are aimed at fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, blemishes, large pores, texture and discoloration. Medical-grade skincare is available for use after treatments, and the in-store shop carries Alastin Skincare, Skinbetter Science and Xtressé products.
The practice runs a weight loss program using semaglutide and tirzepatide, with InBody body composition assessments at the start and every six months after. Patients who began weight loss medication at a med spa can transition to a structured plan here, and care includes coordination with local trainers, mental health counselors and nutrition coaches. Integration therapy is also offered for reflecting on and processing insights from profound personal experiences; the service does not provide, prescribe, sell or facilitate access to psychedelic or other controlled substances.
The practice says that not accepting insurance allows more time with each patient at an affordable price. It offers payment plans and eGift cards, and it requires a $50 deposit to book any appointment, with a $150 deposit for Morpheus8 appointments.
Decisions are made with each person rather than for them, with an emphasis on honest education. Skin health, physical health and emotional well-being are considered together, and the practice does not take insurance so that appointments can be longer.
