The building is a training center that also works as a salon and spa, so the services are carried out by students in training.

Three programs run here: cosmetology, esthetics, and instructor training. The cosmetology program is 1,600 clock hours and meets Washington State licensing requirements, starting with eight weeks of classroom theory before moving to clinic days. Coursework covers hair color and blonding, cutting, perms, chemical relaxers, wigs and hair additions, hair removal, lash and brow tinting, basic facials, manicures, and 100 hours each of skin and nail theory. Esthetics covers sanitizing, device knowledge for microdermabrasion and handheld tools, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and hard and soft wax and sugaring, and prepares students for the state esthetics exam. Instructor training is open to licensed cosmetologists and estheticians and covers teaching methods, lesson plans, classroom management, clinic supervision, and recordkeeping.

Guests should expect a student pace, so services can take longer than at a professional salon. Appointments are booked by phone through guest services. Children and others not receiving services are not allowed in the salon area, so childcare needs to be arranged before a visit. Chemical services are for guests 13 and older, and 13 to 17 year olds need parental permission. Blonding is priced after a consultation with the educator, while other listed prices are starting points that vary with student level and products used.

Students also learn business skills such as financial literacy, retailing, goal setting, client retention, and building a personal brand on social media. Career placement helps with resumes and interview preparation, and the school hosts career fairs three times a year. It does not guarantee employment but offers career resources and access to its network of salons.

The school hosts an annual Hair BRA-Zaar, where students and alumni create themed looks using decorated bras, with proceeds supporting local causes. Students have also taken part in Fashion SOULstice, an event focused on ending sex trafficking, and the school has offered complimentary services to military personnel and their families.

Education comes first: students build technical skills alongside the business and customer service skills needed to build a clientele, with guidance from industry partners.
