ICON Salon

ICON Salon is a small, personal salon with two chairs and a private suite. The salon describes itself as a small group of Tacoma's top beauty creatives, and its atmosphere is laid-back. Each artist runs their own scheduling and service list, so clients book directly with the person they want.

The salon's mission centers on inclusive, eco-conscious beauty that is open to people regardless of background or hair type. Pricing is gender-neutral. ICON is a certified Green Circle Salon and states that it recycles and repurposes up to 95% of its salon waste, including hair clippings, used color and foil.

Hair services range from long layered cuts to short crops. Color and blonding run from subtle sun-kissed tones to bolder color, and the salon works with reds, vivids and grey coverage. Skin care includes precision waxing and facials that draw on Korean skin care and can be fully customized. Additional services include lashes, brows, extensions and treatments.

The salon carries the R+Co haircare line, whose formulas are color-safe, heat and UV protective, and free of parabens, sulfates, mineral oil and petrolatum. Featured products are vegan, cruelty-free and ethically recycled, chosen with a focus on clean beauty.
