Sugar Peeps was founded in October 2017 and is run as a small, woman-owned business. Its owner, Genevieve DuPuy, is the esthetician who performs the services, and the studio is on the second floor of the Valhalla Building on Ballard Avenue NW.
The studio says it aims to offer ethical, careful work with natural, eco-friendly products, and that sugaring and all personal services should leave clients feeling affirmed and good. It describes itself as a place that makes room for every body.
Visits are by appointment only, and sugaring, Luxe Skin Treatments and custom airbrush spray tanning are booked through Gloss Genius. Sugaring is done with a paste made from sugar, water and lemon juice. Luxe Skin Treatments use organic, plant-based products and can be booked on their own or after a sugaring service.
Prices are tip free, so the listed price is what a client pays. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, other than for illness or an extreme emergency, and no-shows are charged the full price of the booked services. Late arrivals may be asked to reschedule or book a shorter service, and are also charged the full price.
