Styles by Camille is located in a suite on Bermuda Crossroads Lane in Chester, Virginia, and is run by owner and stylist Camille Chalmers, who has been styling hair professionally since 2009. The salon serves clients of all ages and genders.

The salon aims to bring out each client's natural look with styles that are current, healthy and polished. Protecting the health of clients' hair comes first, and the team gives guidance on at-home care routines and maintenance between visits.

New clients need to schedule a consultation before booking an appointment, and clients who have been away for six months or more must reach out again as new clients. All desired services should be requested at the same time, since services can't be added at or before the appointment. The final price is set after an in-person evaluation and depends on the service, hair length, density and how much detangling is needed. Sisterlocks consultations are mandatory before booking, and clients should arrive with clean hair free of conditioners, oils and moisturizers, without blow drying or straightening it first.

Beyond styling, the salon sells virgin hair extensions in a range of textures, lace closures and lace frontals, wigs, accessories and hair care products. Bundles can be bought ahead through the Essence of Me Collection after a consultation with the stylist to confirm the amount and type of hair needed. For events, the salon offers wedding and special event bookings and says it can connect clients with makeup artists, photographers and DJs.

Payment is accepted by cash, card, Apple Pay, Zelle and Cash App for deposits, but checks are not a regular payment method. Some services require a non-refundable deposit paid before they begin, and wig services need a 50% deposit within three days of receiving the hair. Refunds are not given under any circumstance; a client who is dissatisfied can discuss an outcome up to the cost of the service rendered. Guests and children who are not being serviced cannot attend, because space is limited.
