Style & Tranquility opened in 2016 as a studio founded by Chrisi Clow, who had spent many years in the salon industry before starting their own space. The studio is built around getting to know each guest, with the aim of giving every visit a distinct and memorable feel.

A first visit begins with a personalized consultation and a long-term plan for the guest's beauty goals. New guests request their appointment through a virtual consultation form. On arrival, guests are greeted, offered a beverage and given a new client form, and the studio offers a range of amenities during color processing. Custom color formulas are saved in a computerized database so the same mix can be referenced at future visits, and the next appointment is booked before the guest leaves.

The studio describes itself as a sustainable salon that uses ethical products guests can feel comfortable with. Among the lines carried are Davines, including its Naturaltech range of treatments for common skin and hair concerns, Amika, and Moroccan Oil, which is built on argan oil. According to the salon, Davines emphasizes green business practices from production through disposal.
