A first visit typically starts with a beverage, a personalized consultation with the stylist, and a shampoo with scalp massage. New color guests receive a complimentary 15-minute consultation with no obligation, and transformative work such as color transformations and corrections requires an in-person consultation. Guests can request a specific stylist, or use the stylist match survey and Guest Services to be paired with one.

Color is priced by time, technique, stylist level, and hair length and thickness. Product is tracked by the gram through a color management system and charged separately, and listed prices include an approximate color cost. Partial highlights and lowlights are described as the salon's specialty. According to the salon, glosses typically last four to six weeks, highlights eight to twelve or more weeks depending on grow-out, and root touch-ups are usually needed every four to six weeks.

Keratin Complex smoothing is offered in a full-strength classic version and a shorter express blowout version that can be added to any color service. Treatments such as a custom-blended repair, a reparative conditioning service for fragile hair, and a scalp-focused buildup removal are also available, and most can be added to a haircut, color or blowout. The salon suggests treatments every four to eight weeks.

The salon says its training starts on a stylist's first day and continues throughout their career, and that its staff place emphasis on continued education and current trends. It runs an associate program, a full-time paid internship for recent cosmetology graduates who work hands-on with an educator, and hires experienced stylists on commission with in-salon training.

Each location has its own setting. Annapolis occupies three historic buildings from the early 1900s, which have been preserved, and has a bright, classic character. Arnold Station has a contemporary interior that blends raw industrial elements with clean, minimal lines. South River has high ceilings, plenty of natural light and a comfortable contemporary interior.

Stylists work within a level system meant to give guests options that fit their needs and budget while giving stylists a path for growth.

Each salon has its own setting, from preserved early-1900s buildings in Annapolis to a contemporary space with industrial touches in Arnold Station.
