Studio Strange

Studio Strange is a hair salon in Nashville's Sylvan Park area, on Charlotte Avenue. The salon describes itself as created with intention for people who have not always felt fully considered in other salons, and as LGBTQIA+ focused. Each visit is guided by the artist the client chooses, and the salon says every experience is shaped with consent, care and craft.

Hair services are grouped as Hair Rituals, which run one, two or three hours depending on the change. New clients start with The Prelude, a one-hour first visit that includes a custom haircut and a consultation to plan future color or styling, and it is required before other Hair Rituals. Return Ritual, Evolve Ritual and Transcend Ritual are for returning clients, covering refinements, multi-step color and cut work, and larger changes such as vivid color or advanced blonding. The Prelude, Return Ritual and Evolve Ritual are priced from $115, $115 and $230 at the artist's hourly rate, with Transcend Ritual from $345; product charges may apply to the longer rituals.

The Weaving covers hair extensions. New clients begin with a 30-minute Weaving Consult for hair assessment, shade matching and placing the hair order, priced from $80, and extension hair is bought separately and paid in full before it is ordered. The salon uses 100% Remy human hair matched from its full shade collection. Tape-In Weaving is a two-hour installation of pre-taped wefts, finished with a blending cut and aftercare guidance, priced from $320 plus the cost of the hair. Waxing Rites covers waxing from subtle shaping to full removal.

The space was built with the needs of neurodivergent, immunocompromised and disabled guests in mind. Booking through Fresha includes group appointments, package purchases and gift sending.
