Studio MB was created by Mel after more than a decade working as a stylist, with the aim of having a studio of her own. The studio says great hair starts with trust, and its goal is to leave clients with one less thing to worry about when it comes to their hair.

Services cover custom haircuts for adults and for children of existing clients, men's cuts, curls and blowouts, hand tied extensions, single-color and highlight services, toners and glosses, and revitalizing treatments. Cut times reflect the work involved: a standard cut takes 45 minutes and includes a wash and blowout, while an extended cut takes an hour and suits dramatic changes or very long or thick hair.

New guests who are unsure what to book can take a complimentary 15-minute consultation. Hand tied extension services require a consultation before booking, and the complimentary extensions consultation covers goals, a custom color match and ordering the extensions. Drinks offered during visits include water, Poppi prebiotic soda, Diet Coke, decaf herbal tea and Nespresso.

Mel works in a thoughtful, collaborative way, aiming for hair that holds up in everyday life.

Appointments are meant to feel calm, comfortable and personal, without rushing.
