Studio B Three

Studio B Three is an upstairs studio at 1716 Manhattan Beach Blvd in Manhattan Beach, reached by a staircase on the side of the building, to the left of the DBA Remax office. It sits across the street from Polliwog Park and close to the 405 freeway.

The studio's services fall into three groups: brow shaping, brow tinting and permanent makeup for brows. Brow shaping starts with mapping the brow, then waxing, trimming and tweezing, and facial waxing such as the upper lip or chin can be added to the same visit. Brow tinting and shaping pairs the shaping with a semi-permanent tint.

The permanent work is Nano Brows, also called Machine Hair Strokes, which uses ultra-fine strokes to mimic natural brow hairs. A topical numbing cream is used during the roughly three-hour session. Color softens by about 15 to 20 percent as the skin heals and may look darker at first, with healing around 7 to 10 days and full results in 4 to 6 weeks. Touch-ups are recommended every 18 to 24 months.

Consultations are offered for every service, including permanent makeup, and the studio asks for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule permanent makeup appointments. Cancellations made within 48 hours may result in a fee or loss of the deposit, depending on the service. Street parking is the only parking, so clients are asked to check posted signs, and there is patio seating at the base of the staircase for anyone arriving early.

According to the studio, it has moved fully from microblading to Nano Brows, which it describes as a softer, safer and longer-lasting technique.
