Studio B, also listed as Studio B Esthetic Center, is in Elizabeth, near Union, Hillside, Roselle and Linden. Clients come from the local area and from across North and Central New Jersey and New York, including people from Staten Island, Freehold, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Plainfield, Paterson, Jersey City and Newark. Every visit begins with a consultation where skin and health history are reviewed before anything is recommended. Clients receive a written plan at that point showing the number of sessions and the total cost before treatment starts. The skin is photographed at consultation and again at each follow-up. Each session runs 45 to 90 minutes depending on the area, one to three sessions are usually needed, and the sensation is short bursts of warmth, with mild redness or tenderness lasting a few days. Visible results build over roughly two to three months. Microneedling makes tiny, controlled punctures that prompt the skin to produce new collagen. A visit takes about 60 minutes including numbing cream, three to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart are usually done, and redness similar to a mild sunburn lasts one to three days. Plasma energy, also called plasma fibroblast, uses a pen-like device to tighten loose skin around the eyes and mouth without surgery. Sessions take 30 to 90 minutes; usually one is done, with a possible second after eight to 12 weeks, and small scabs and some swelling can last five to 10 days. Packages bundle sessions together, and many treatments are delivered as a series. According to the business, microneedling is considered safe for all skin tones because it uses no heat or light. Plasma energy carries a higher risk of dark marks on deeper skin tones, so skin type is assessed first.
