Curly hair is the salon's specialty. Stylists identify each client's curl type, which the Ouidad system describes as loose, classic, tight or kinky, cut with that curl in mind, and show clients how to care for it at home. Each client gets an individual hair program, and stylists attend classes and shows throughout the year to keep up with new looks and techniques.

Services are by appointment, and scheduling asks for the length and thickness of the client's hair, since prices vary with both. Cuts start at $25 for children and men, $50 for women and $85 for Ouidad cuts. Blowouts and roller sets start at $35, color retouches at $50, and keratin treatments at $110. Payment is due when each service is finished, and the salon accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, checks and cash. Gift certificates come in any amount but cannot be exchanged for cash. Cancellations need a call at least 24 hours ahead; a $25 fee applies to later cancellations and no-shows. Wedding party pricing is quoted by staff, for services in the salon or on location.

Stylists work from each client's curl type and design an individual hair program, with ongoing guidance on home care.
