Strands Salon Downtown

Owner Gretchen Denham began her career as a stylist in 2007 and opened Strands Salon in 2014. The salon has since grown into a full-service salon and spa on North Erwin Street in downtown Cartersville, with stylists, a barber, a massage therapist and an esthetician on the team.

Hair is the core of the business. Stylists cut, color and style hair, with specialties in bright blondes, natural-looking balayage, dimensional color, vivid creative color and precision cutting. Extensions are offered too, from subtle added dimension to full transitions, and one stylist is certified in invisible bead extensions.

Massage therapy is provided by a licensed massage therapist who has practiced for more than 16 years, offering deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone, reflexology and prenatal sessions. Skin treatments are handled by a licensed esthetician, including facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microchannel, hydroboration and waxing.

The salon describes its visits as relaxed and personalized. Stylists aim to make each client feel good about their hair, whether the visit is a simple cut, a color or a formal style. The salon is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 am to 6 pm.
