Stefani Avila Hair

Stefani Avila Hair is run by colorist Stefani Avila, who has been doing hair for eight years, including almost five at a salon before starting the current business. The studio is currently based at CITY&SHORE Studios West Town, at 1431 West Hubbard Street.

Color is the main focus. Balayage and foilyage are hand-painted for soft, natural-looking dimension, and the full version takes about 90 minutes. Blonde work runs to full or partial highlights, single process color covers the hair in one all-over step, and a glaze or toner refreshes tone across the whole head. Blow-dry styling is not included with color but can be added to one.

Outside of color, the menu includes haircuts, blow-dry styling, a hydrating moisturizing masque and Brazilian blowouts, along with extension retape and bang trims for current clients. Men's cuts are not offered here; men are referred to coworker Alissa.

Hours are Monday from 11 AM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM, all closing at 7 PM. The studio is closed Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Deposits of $25 are taken for full balayage/foilyage, partial and full highlight blonde and double process lift, and $100 for Brazilian blowouts. A 50% fee applies to no-shows and to cancellations within 24 hours. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom value and are final sale.
