The salon is Green Circle Certified and describes itself as eco-conscious. It recycles 95% of what leaves the salon, including foils, color tubes, paper, plastic and hair, and guests can ask about the program at their visit. Every team member receives ongoing education in color, cutting and product knowledge. An on-site boutique sells clean beauty products and products from California makers.

A visit usually begins with a free consultation, which is offered any day and welcomes first-time guests and walk-ins. Stylists are matched with clients based on the specialty that suits their hair type and the look they want. The next appointment is booked before the client leaves. Bookings can be made online through Phorest or by calling 760-217-7990. Free parking is available behind the salon.

Balayage is the signature color service, a hand-painted technique for dimension and a lived-in look that takes about 3.5 to 5 hours and starts at $325. Foils are used only when needed, and highlights can be done with foils, babylights or teasylights. Every service finishes with a gloss toner. Extensions come in hand-tied, tape-in or IBE methods, are custom ordered and color-matched, and start at $750 all in. Cezanne Smoothing is a formaldehyde-free frizz treatment that keeps natural texture and cuts down on styling time.

Bridal hair and makeup is offered on location and in the salon, with trials, a private consultation and day-of timeline coordination. On-location bridal work needs a minimum of four services including the bride and travels to San Diego, Orange County, Palm Springs and destination weddings. Securing a date requires a signed bridal agreement and a non-refundable deposit of 60% of the service total. In-salon bridal packages include a private VIP room.

Education comes first, with ongoing training in color, cutting and products for the whole team, and each client is paired with a stylist whose specialty fits their hair and goals.
