Städa is a hair salon in Portland that describes itself as eco conscious and focused on clean air. Products are chosen for quality, clean air and low toxin content, with no artificial fragrance. Medify air purifiers circulate the air inside the salon, and the salon states it is a dedicated Green Circle Salon member. According to the salon, 95% of its salon waste, including hair, foils, color, gloves and packaging, is redirected from landfill to renewable programs. Products are said to come in recyclable packaging.

Hours are set by each stylist and are by appointment only. Clients are asked not to wear perfume. Pricing is gender free and gratuity free, so tipping is not necessary. Services are grouped as Haircut, Color, Styling and Treatments, and a conditioning treatment can be added to any other service for $25. Haircut prices start at $78 for short cuts and $88 for long cuts with Jenevier, and at $140 with Audrey. Balayage starts at $225 and full head highlights start at $255 with Jenevier; double process and blonde or vivid colors are priced after a consultation.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice through the online booking service. Cancelling inside that window, or running 15 minutes late, may bring a fee of 100% of the scheduled service, charged by Square invoice, and may mean losing the appointment. Clients who are sick are asked to reschedule within the same window. Service adjustments can be requested within 7 days if a client is not satisfied. Refunds are not offered on services, and retail product purchases are final, though a faulty pump is replaced free of charge.
