SOYO Nails

SoYo Nails was started by owner Jenna Julian out of a love of art, community and healthy nails, and the salon pairs creative nail work with attention to the health of the natural nail. It is located in the Boyce Thompson Center on North Broadway in Yonkers and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm, closed Mondays, with Sundays available by appointment only.

About

The menu runs from classic and children's manicures and pedicures through gel, hard gel, polygel, Apres Gelx, builder gel and acrylic work. Full sets come in several lengths, with fill-ins to maintain them and removal for each system. Add-ons cover nail art, French and acrylic ombre finishes, repairs, reshaping, nail forms and callus treatment. A reshape is charged if three or more weeks pass between appointments, and a cut down at a fill-in includes a reshape.

Bookings are made through the salon's online page, which offers individual, group and gift card options. A nonrefundable deposit is due at booking and counts toward the service, with the remaining balance paid when the appointment ends. Appointments are canceled after 15 minutes of lateness. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations and no-shows are charged half the service cost. Changes to an appointment, including adding or swapping services, also need 24 hours' notice.

For a full set, clients should arrive with bare natural nails free of products; otherwise a soak-off must be booked first, and any existing enhancements should be removed before the visit. The team does not work on injured nails or open wounds. Because seating is limited, guests who are not getting a service are asked not to come along. Clients who are unhappy with a service have three days to report the issue.

Safety, sanitation and disinfection are the salon's stated top priority.
