New clients start by submitting the online Request Appointment form, which doubles as a pre-consultation. The front desk then contacts them about pricing and availability. A first visit runs longer because the stylist assesses moisture content, shrink factor and cut shape, and it ends with a style, hydration and moisturizing of the curls. Color is not offered at first-time appointments. Every appointment is customized to the client's curl pattern, length and density, and the salon does not double book.

The core service is the Curl Specific Cut, a dry cut sculpted curl by curl in the hair's natural state, which should be arrived at detangled and dry. Other options include Intro Curl Cut, Curl Express for a cut only, Curl Discovery as an education and wash-and-style session without a cut, Southern Curl Signature (a curl-specific cut with a moisture detox treatment), and Curly Kids Cuts for children from age 3 through 11. Curly hair extensions are also offered. Color services, from base retouches to Pintura highlights, are available to established clients only.

Pricing is published separately for new and established clients and in tiers for Level 2 and Level 3 stylists and the Owner. Level 2 and Level 3 custom curl cuts include a complimentary edit within two weeks. Clients can secure a reservation or a waiting list spot with a credit card, the salon accepts major credit cards and offers payment plans, and there is complimentary parking in a private lot in front of the building.

Work is organized around three areas: curl education, curl maintenance and curl style. The salon's overall focus is the health of hair, and each service is tailored to the individual client because every curly client is different.
