The company exists to provide beauty and wellness professionals with rental space so they can run their own businesses. Every renter is an independent business owner, and each suite operates as its own independently owned business.

Renters get a start-up manual with checklists, forms and tips for obtaining a salon license and other permits, along with setup guidance, credit card processing advice and contacts for retail and distributors. Independent studio owners can access liability insurance and disability insurance, which is offered in certain areas. Renters also receive retail discounts, offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and access to industry events.

The Melrose location at 2605 8th Ave. S sits near I-65 and I-440, next to an Orange Theory Fitness, and states that it serves all parts of Nashville, including downtown and The Gulch. Broadwest, at 1603 Hayes St., is in a downtown mixed-use area at 1600 West End Ave. with condominiums, hotels, businesses, restaurants and retail, and is convenient to I-40 and I-440. Both locations offer full-spectrum lighting, 24/7 security, utilities included, shampoo bowls and styling chairs. Melrose also has on-site laundry, janitorial services, a spacious breakroom and bathroom facilities.

The Hendersonville location at 206 Indian Lake Blvd. sits near local restaurants and shopping and includes ample parking for renters and their clients. Its private studios have free Wi-Fi and utilities, and renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. Each suite has its own lock and key on the glass door, studio access hours vary by location, and renters set their own schedules. Renters there may choose and sell the brands and products they carry and keep 100% of the profits.

The company states that its community includes more than 20,000 independent business owners and that it hosts events such as cocktail parties, family picnics and gatherings for renters. Each Sola Salon Studios franchise location is independently owned and operated, and the salon company is not responsible for franchise owners' operations or employment matters.
