Sola Salon Studios is the rental side of Sola Salons. It leases private salon suites to professionals who run their own businesses from them, rather than employing staff or operating a salon in the traditional sense. Renters are independent business owners, and the company says its renter community includes more than 20,000 independent business owners.

Each suite is fully equipped and rented for one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. Renters have their own space with an individual lock and key on a glass door, and may decorate it as they choose. Access is available 24 hours a day, though hours vary by location. Santa Monica suites add 24/7 building access and security, bathroom facilities, on-site parking, full-spectrum lighting, instant hot water, a shampoo bowl and a large breakroom, with styling chairs, ventilation and customizable layouts included.

Stylists who rent a chair or studio here receive a start-up manual with forms and tips for securing a salon license and other permits, plus advice on setting up the space, insurance, equipment and card payment processing. The salon also provides retail assistance, supplier contacts, liability coverage, and disability coverage in some regions. Renters can access reduced pricing on retail goods, promotions for clients who book online, ongoing training courses and trade events. Any profit from retail products a renter chooses to sell goes entirely to that renter.

Each Sola Salon Studios location is independently owned and operated. The Beverly Hills studio is a few steps from Rodeo Drive. The company hosts community events such as cocktail parties, family picnics and gatherings for local Sola communities.
