Sola Salons Encinitas

Sola Salons operates salon suite rental studios in San Diego County. Each location is independently owned and operated, so details such as access hours can vary from one studio to the next. The business states that its renter community includes more than 20,000 independent business owners.

Suites are rented to independent beauty professionals rather than run as a salon with staff. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. At the Clairemont studio, each suite includes a shampoo bowl, a styling chair and full-spectrum lighting, and the building offers on-site laundry, janitorial services, a breakroom and bathrooms. Each suite has a glass door with its own lock and key, and the Clairemont location has 24/7 security.

Renters can sell the products of their choice and keep all of the profits. The business also provides a start-up manual with forms and tips for obtaining a salon license and other licenses and permits, along with studio setup details.

Renters have access to liability insurance, disability insurance in certain areas, retail discounts, online scheduling offers, continuing education programs and industry events. The studios also host community gatherings for renters, such as cocktail parties and family picnics.

The Carmel Valley studio, located in Carmel County Plaza off Del Mar Heights Rd., has covered garage parking, an outdoor patio breakroom and a separate private area for spa services. It offers window suites for hairstylists alongside private rooms for massage, skincare, waxing and other spa treatments.

Renters are invited to community events such as cocktail parties and family picnics.
