Sola Salons Oro Valley

Sola Salons offers private salon suites to independent beauty professionals who want to run their own business rather than work as an employee of a larger salon. Each Sola Salon Studios franchise location is independently owned and operated, so details can vary by site. The Tucson Northwest location rents one-chair and two-chair studios, and private tours of the studios can be booked.

Each studio has a sliding, locking door for privacy and is fitted with high-end cabinetry, sinks and shampoo bowls, ergonomic chairs and full-spectrum lighting. The listed amenities include a styling chair, a shampoo bowl, ventilation and instant hot water. Shared spaces include a spacious breakroom, on-site laundry, janitorial service and bathrooms, and the building has 24/7 security, though access hours vary by location.

Tenants receive a key to their suite and set their own working hours. One weekly fee covers utilities and Wi-Fi. Tenants also decide their own service and product prices, choose which brands and products they sell, and keep all of the profits. The business says the community includes more than 20,000 independent business owners and that suite rental can cost about the same as renting a chair or booth in a traditional salon.

Sola presents suite rental as a way for beauty professionals to run their own boutique salon, with the tenant in control of hours, pricing and product choices.
