Sola Salons Centre at Riverchase

Sola Salon Studios is a suite rental business: rather than employing a salon team, it leases private suites to independent professionals who run their own businesses. The company says it has more than 20,000 independent business owners.

The Homewood location, at 808 Green Springs Hwy., Suite 124, sits in a newly remodeled shopping center about 200 yards south of a Publix grocery store, across the street from it. Nearby places to eat include Firehouse Subs, CiCi's Pizza and McDonald's. Drivers can reach it from I-65 at Oxmoor Road or Lakeshore Parkway, and it is close to Samford University, Virginia College and UAB downtown. King Rogers is the listed contact, reachable at +1 (205) 440-2664.

Each suite has a glass door with its own lock and key, and the building has 24/7 security. Suites include full-spectrum lighting, and the amenities listed include a shampoo bowl and a styling chair. Suite access hours vary by location. Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi.

Tenants set their own service and product prices and keep the profits. They also choose which brands and products they sell and keep all product profit, so each suite operates as its own business.

Each location is independently owned and operated, and each tenant runs a separate business inside their suite.
