The co-owners started it because they see healthy hair as an ongoing routine rather than a one-time result, and the studio is built around that idea. The studio says it is not a salon.

The work begins with the scalp and then moves to the hair strand. Services use controlled heat and slow, protective detangling, and each one follows a set system intended to give consistent results. The studio focuses on textured hair in all curl patterns, coils and waves.

The silk press is the core service, described as a system-based way to straighten natural hair. Silk press appointments take 75 minutes or less. Clients can book a single visit or walk in, since membership is optional. Chemical relaxer services are permanent and are not offered for pixie cuts or short hair.

Members can choose The Biweekly Ritual or The Weekly Ritual, which together form The Ritual Collection. Each membership includes silk press visits, a wash, condition and style, a scalp health check and a treatment at each visit. The VIP Extensions Suite covers sew-ins, tape-ins, quickweaves, microlinks, clip-ins and wig installs, and every extension service includes a scalp assessment and custom blend matching. A hair extension consultation is complimentary.

Team members are trained in the Soft House method and receive ongoing mentorship. Stylists are offered continuing education, including master classes, certifications and advanced training, and the studio offers a growth path from stylist to senior stylist to lead, with one-on-one mentorship from the founding stylists.

Each service follows a set system meant to produce consistent results, starting with the scalp and then the strand, using controlled heat and slow, protective detangling.
