West Coast Hair Extensions & Styling was started by founder Katie Pahura, whose love of California inspired the name. The studio aims to give each client an experience that leaves them feeling their best.

NBR extensions are installed by building a track of micro beads and string around the head, and custom-colored wefts are stitched to that track so they blend with the client's own hair. The studio uses Covet & Mane handtied extensions, which are real hair. The salon says NBR causes less damage than other extension methods it has tried, and that it uses about 15 to 45 points of contact compared with over 100 for some other methods. The studio notes it has a particular focus on blondes.

Prices depend on the look a client wants and their starting hair, so new and returning clients complete an NBR questionnaire to receive a quote before booking. NBR installs range from $600 to $2,000. Maintenance appointments range from $100 to $200 depending on the work done at the first appointment, and color during a maintenance visit costs extra. Extensions typically last about 6 to 8 months depending on care and need to be moved up or tightened every 6 to 8 weeks. Clients can book through the website booking links, and they receive written aftercare instructions covering washing, brushing, drying and sleeping.
