The salon describes itself as a welcoming place for families and children living with autism, and says it was the first children's salon to offer specialized salon autism training. Stylists complete that training, which was developed with autism experts and in conjunction with Autism Speaks.

A haircut visit has four parts: an Adventure Club pass, a consultation, the haircut with kid-focused entertainment, and a prize from the Magic Box at the end. Children sit in kid-size styling chairs, and a parent can sit at the children's chairs during the cut. Same-day check-in is available online.

Services range beyond the basic cut. Add-ons include shampoo, blow dry, comb out, basic braids, tinsel, color streaks and hardline. Kids' spa services are offered at select salons and performed by professional cosmetologists, and birthday and party packages are available, though party options vary by location. Ear piercing is offered only at select salons. Parent cuts are for adults in an adult-sized chair, with pricing given on request during a visit. Hours are set by each salon: the Avon, Ohio salon is closed on Mondays and the West Caldwell, New Jersey salon is open every day.
