Visits take place in private service rooms, with one-on-one time with an esthetician. The salon says its estheticians are licensed and trained in the Smooth technique, and it reports seeing more than 2,000 clients a month. Smooth also builds ongoing relationships with clients through conversation and practical solutions.
Booking requires a credit or debit card on file. Same-day cancellations are charged 50% of the service, and missed appointments without notice are charged the full service price. Late arrivals may be rescheduled or changed, and arriving too late to be seen counts as a same-day cancellation. The salon does not take cash and does not allow children or guests at appointments. Clients are advised to wax every three to four weeks, not shave beforehand, and not go longer than six weeks between waxes. Anyone using retinol or Retin A on the face may not be waxed on any part of the face.
The boutique also sells organic skin care, candles, cards and gifts, including products from smaller independent brands. Gift cards are available both online and in store.
The salon focuses on private rooms, one-on-one estheticians and lasting client relationships built around practical solutions.
