Melanie started the business in 2009 in a local acupuncture office and opened a private studio in Manhattan Beach in 2011. The studio later moved from Manhattan Beach to downtown Old Torrance, where it has continued to serve the South Bay.

Facials are the core of the menu. The signature Diamond Microdermabrasion facial runs 55 minutes and combines steam, sonic cleansing, microdermabrasion, a mask, a serum and massage. Other options include a mini-microdermabrasion treatment, an LED mask treatment, an LED and microcurrent rejuvenation facial, and facials built for teens, pregnancy, men and the back. Every facial includes a lymphatic drainage massage and a chakra balance. Peel facials run about 40 to 50 minutes and finish with a customized serum and sun protection.

The studio also offers peels, waxing for most body areas, lash lifts and tints, and brow design and tinting. Virtual skin consultations are available by Zoom or FaceTime, and clients can pay by Venmo, PayPal, Zelle or credit card. Gift cards can be bought on the website and are shipped at no cost. Free parking is available.

The studio describes its products as professional, pharmaceutical-grade cosmetics. Its online shop lists about 49 products, and home care products can be shipped anywhere in the US.

Each facial is customized to the client, with education on their skin and the products they should use, and no up-selling.
