Skinology was founded by Anne A. The studio moved to West Linn from a day spa in Lake Oswego, about 3.8 miles away, and now sits near Mary S. Young Park off Highway 43, with parking in front of the building and on the street.
New clients begin with a skin analysis and consultation, which includes a review of the consultation form, a skin analysis and a skincare recommendation. The facial that follows is customized to those results. Clients are asked to complete the Skinology consultation form before the first visit or to arrive early to fill it out.
The facial menu covers classic, gentlemen's, anti-acne, rosacea-focused and anti-aging treatments. The Beauty is Four-Layers Deep facial is a 75-minute service using layered European seaweed masks with vitamin C, and the business says Cosmopolitan UK named it Best Facial of the Century. Extractions can be added to any facial.
Facial waxing and brow work cover lip and chin waxing, brow tinting and a 40-minute brow shaping service. Body wraps include a lavender and aloe vera wrap and a body butter hand and foot treatment. Some body wrap clients need a doctor's written approval before treatment, under the business's contraindication guidelines.
Each facial starts with a skin analysis, and the treatment is then customized to the results.
